Could anyone recommend biscuit tins that aren’t made of plastic, but rather of sturdy metal, that can be reused (for example, for cheese biscuits on the go so they don’t go stale), and that are worth the money? The prettier the tin (this is subjective), the better. Cadbury is the only tin I know of that’s still made of metal.
M&S always has lovely cookie tins on sale. They might even be on sale just before Christmas.
Shortbread cookies are often sold in pretty, decorative boxes. Shortbread House in Edinburgh makes some lovely cookies.
M&S has a good selection of canned goods this time of year; be sure to visit your local store. I saw at least three or four different ones last weekend.
I like them a lot but the box is quite small and you don’t find many.
My wife received a Harrods box for Christmas from her job. It seems to be just what she was looking for, although the price is a bit high.
Of course, M&S was mentioned. There’s also a selection of Walkers Shortbread biscuits in boxes. However, I’ve never found them to keep the biscuits fresh for very long (outside of their inner plastic packaging).
It’s not a supermarket, but if you live near a Sostrene Grene, they have lovely boxes of cookies (although they’re not available everywhere!).
I just bought some M&S products as a gift. They have huge 1kg boxes for about £12.
