I’m looking for a fun and clever idea for my office Secret Santa this year I’ve already offered Ryan Air flights for 510 pounds to any city Share your best ideas The budget is usually up to 20 pounds
Our prize limit was 10, but management offered us some “golden” prizes that everyone coveted One day, they opened a case of very expensive Scotch whiskey They stole it so many times that they finally decided that, from now on, a gift could only be stolen three times The grand prize winner opened the case and, ready to share with everyone at the table, discovered a 2 bottle of Trader Joe’s red wine
Someone received one of these “infinity” boxes those boxes stacked inside a box inside another Each box was carefully wrapped The last box measured about 25 cm x 25 cm, which fascinated everyone It took about 20 minutes to open them all The last box was nothing more than a small ceramic hand with its middle finger extended Everyone laughed out loud
A few years ago, a finance director joined the small company where I worked He’d only been on the job for a few weeks when we held our Christmas party The woman whose name was drawn gave him an abacus
A colleague of mine once had a miniature drum kit It was the size of a dinner plate He kept it on his desk, and every time he told a bad joke, we’d hear, “Bad joke”
Please don’t take this as inspiration imagine a goldfish In a small fishbowl with pellets, gravel, and all the trimmingsjust the basics to get started The poor guy came to work and was given this goldfish In the end, he had to call his mom to get it for him because he wasn’t allowed to bring a fish on the bus For Secret Santa the following year, I had to set a rule no live animals were allowed as gifts, which might have seemed obvious, but This is why we always say those silly warnings only exist because someone did it at least once
Pair of NERF guns
We were once playing Santa Claus, and I bought a USB minifridge for the desk It fit a can of CocaCola People fought like crazy over it
It’s not for everyone, but last year I got the best Secret Santa gift I work as a social worker at a nursing home and I’m on call 247 It was my first time working a shift We had a team meeting planned to exchange gifts I picked up the thirdshift girl at her house because most of us share a car, and she lives right around the corner I hardly ever see her, even at work She’s kind of weird, harmless I like her, but she’s weird So I picked up the thirdshift girl and we drove to our event, and oh my goodness, the drive felt like the longest drive of my life Like I said, it’s weird Anyway, we arrived at our destination, and it turned out to be my Secret Santa gift He made me a Smagol clay Christmas ornament because he knew I loved “The Lord of the Rings” Smagol was wearing a Santa hat and a fish, and it was cute Everyone else received gift cards and gifts, but I really appreciated that he took the time to create something for me based on my interests He’d been raving about it for months Considering we rarely worked together or saw each other, it was a great idea
It’s not particularly creative or fun, but alcohol and lottery tickets are always a pleasure
The best ticket I’ve ever seen was a plane ticket in the recipient’s name to a distant European destination, booked for Christmas It cost, if I remember correctly, 15 pounds
I’ve never seen people fight so fiercely over something like they do in a RockEmSockEmRobots boxing game
harmonica
I love the idea of stealing, but could we give it another name Haha I’d definitely buy something people like and want, even if it’s simple The truth is, I don’t want junk in my house
My father worked in school administration He’d adopted the music teacher’s last name and knew she loved Tiger, from Winnie the Pooh As a custodian, he had all the keys to the building, so he’d arrive very early, go into her classroom, and draw a cute tiger jumping on its tail on the blackboard with chalk He’d put it away so she’d never have to erase it again He made it a point to keep the tiger drawing clean whenever the children made a mess on it
This comment showed how bad Secret Santa gifts are, at least in my experience
