Best secret santa gifts under $10

Today we’re doing a family gift exchange I was thinking about baking a loaf of bread I have a recipe that takes three hours, making a jar of bread sauce Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic, salt, and pepper, and buying a small, but nottooexpensive, bottle of olive oil Is that weird or cute I’m the bakercook in the family I know I’d love it, but I’m also a total foodie Edit Gift exchanges aren’t like Secret Santa Edit 2 It worked The exchange worked, and it was one of the few items exchanged BUT it was my cousin’s disabled daughter who traded it for a big bag of flavored popcorn, so I wasn’t offended and even got mad at him “Fresh bread for a bag of stale popcorn Sure” My cousin, who got it, was thrilled

I would love to receive this in return

I was looking for a Yankee exchange we call this a white elephant It’s revolutionary Your gift looks divine, and my circle of friends and family would probably steal it 20 billion times over

Of course It’s disposable I hate these gift exchanges because I don’t want a cheap 10 item taking up space in my house I’ll either throw it away or give it away You can also get 10 scratchoff tickets at the gas station If you don’t want to work, it depends on your family If your family is very materialistic, they might not value bread You’re the only one who knows what they’re talking about

I think it’s a great gift For our Secret Santa this year, I gave him a weather station that doubles as an alarm clock for 10

72 months My colleagues and most of my family don’t want or need more clutter in their homes We already have enough of everything No, we don’t want or need gift cards Everyday items make excellent gifts My goto gift is my fluffy milk and egg bread I braid it tightly and brush it with egg wash to make it shine, and it’s a treasure The people around me wouldn’t hesitate to tell me no, thank you, or never to make it again I use my bread maker on the kneading cycle, letting it do the work and kneading That way, I get a 1kilo ball of dough and a perfect, even crumb I bake

I’m the family baker and only give baked goods as gifts at Christmas My friends and family love it they compare my baking, and this year they even asked me for it

Last night we exchanged 10 dollars for Yankees A bottle of hot honey was very welcome

What a nice gift Looks like it costs more than 10 I’d steal it too

I’d love for our family baker to make a similar gift Sometimes she does, and I fight to get it :joy: We almost always give away consumables or things we want We’ll most likely get a gift ourselves And if we want it, at least three other people probably will too Occasionally, we give something we know someone needs, since in our family, we don’t usually exchange until the game is over and the intended person receives it One year we had a little surprise we drew names at the beginning and played a game to get a gift for that person It was interesting because people exchanged more for others than for themselves

I think this is great We had a 5 limit, and my daughter participated for the first time She got the idea I bought her 5 ScratchOff tickets and found an old picture frame She took a cute picture of us and put it in the frame with the lottery tickets Then she wrapped the frame in bubble wrap, put it in a box, rewrapped the box, put it in another box, and rewrapped it It was a Russian nesting doll gift made from things we had We had a few things that were being passed around this year several puzzle books, a small decorative globe, and a security light It was hilarious

Fried chicken packaged in a box absolutely hysterical

What a great idea I’d definitely steal this item at a Yankee Swap

I think it’s a good idea I’ll make a slightly more original bread, maybe with olives or thyme just for a change I usually opt for a good tea or coffee with spices, flavored oils or vinegars, lavender salt things like that

Your raffle is great I’m the one who brings in a 10 ScratchOff ticket It’s always a hit

I read on this forum that some people are a little afraid of eating other people’s homemade food sometimes they say that’s why they don’t participate in potlucks So, for a safe gift, you could give a Trader Joe’s beer bread mix along with a beer or a can of ginger ale and a box of storebought dipping sauce But if you’re a good baker and the people who attend are always happy to share their homemade meals, your gift is sure to be a hit I’m interested
