First, I have quite a bit of experience with smart home products and I’m not afraid to experiment a bit, as long as I don’t have to constantly change my mind However, I’m not familiar with the three brands mentioned in the title I’ve done a lot of research, but haven’t found any satisfactory answers I have a large garden where I would like to install permanent string lights I estimate I need 150 m of string lights, which would require multiple controllers for each of the three products It’s not ideal, but whatever I’ll hang them with guy lines and leave them installed yearround hopefully for many years What I do know The Govee v2 string lights look relatively new, and there aren’t many reviews, but Govee also seems to be the oldest on the market They also seem to be the cheapest, but I’m willing to pay more for better quality Nanoleaf has crystalclear bulbs, and the reviews are almost universally positive LIFX has gorgeous lanterns with multiple color options for each bulb and supposedly incredible color saturation I’m not sure I’m a big fan of multicolor, but the bulbs look great Other considerations I live in northern Illinois In the summer, the temperature can reach 100F 38C, and in the winter, sometimes as low as 22F 30C Also, it gets very windy In the future, I may add fixed lights to my driveway for parties and string lights under some of my steps and around my deck For convenience, I’d prefer to use the same brand I want to be able to set up all of my lights with a similar theme for different occasions Thanks for your feedback
I’m surprised no one has mentioned these Addlon string lights They’re great, easy to install, and the app works perfectly
I have the LIFX and am very satisfied with the brightness, control, and HomeKit integration If you’re looking for an affordable product, you should go with the Govee I haven’t heard much about the Nanoleaf yet To complement the string lights, I also purchased the outdoor spotlights and path lights
I recommend Govee It lasts longer and is more economical than the others, and the newer models are really bright The brightness and color of each bulb can be adjusted individually It’s a threepiece set
I have experience with all three brands Nanoleaf is no longer available they’re known for bugs, especially connection issues, which aren’t good to have outdoors Govee and LIFX are good brands and should be reliable LIFX is great with colors, but I’m hesitant about their outdoor lights because I don’t see a temperature indicator Both offer additional outdoor lights if you want to add path lighting or something similar, but Govee offers more options Govee tends to have more attractive themes for their lights, and I find the app much more intuitive, but both should be fairly easy to set to green and yellow on Sundays 
Avoid Nanoleaf Technical support is very poor and the firmware is incredibly buggy LiFX bulbs are unreliable I’ve seen several fail over time
I have the LIFX String and use the Govee String The LIFX version is much better quality, and the three zones per bulb are really great Of the three mentioned, only LIFX currently offers a fully functional LAN API They make fantastic products I prefer the LIFX String, but there’s also the Twinkly Festoon If you’re looking for a variety of small bulbs, the Twinkly String is unbeatable Twinkly also makes fantastic products

I chose a Kasa Smart Outdoor Outlet and was able to use it for multiple lighting options and holiday lights
Does anyone know if these programmable string lights have a timer Do they need to be reprogrammed in case of a power outage
I installed LIFX string lights on our patio and love them There have been some complaints about the inability to customize the colors, but I don’t mind However, if you’re planning on buying more string lights for Christmas, I recommend Govee because it’s more affordable I have Govee string lights on my TV, and they work wonderfully
