i researched the best ugly Christmas sweater this year because ive got a few holiday parties lined up and want something thats both hilarious and festive enough to stand out in group photos. i went through reviews on sites like Newyork times, Christmas sites, and wirecutter, and they are mentioning a lot of best ones from these options
im trying to decide between something classic-but-funny or one that really goes all out with lights and over-the-top details. ideally, id love one thats super comfy (since some sweaters can be itchy) and holds up after washing because i plan to wear it more than once this season.
i need your suggestions before making a pick for me. if anyones bought from these pages recently, which one do you think gets the most laughs or compliments at parties?
Lets spread some holiday cheer and help each other pick the funniest, most festive sweater of the season!
If comfort matters most, go for the cotton-blend pullovers instead of full acrylic. They’re softer, don’t itch, and still look hilarious. The ones with Santa or elf designs are crowd-pleasers every time.
I just wanted to say that the whole throwaway holiday clothing trend, with its ugly sweaters and Santa-cons (clothing made with petrochemicals in sweatshops abroad that falls apart after more than two wears), is making my ears tingle, as the kids say. Happy holidays!
The Artsadd Custom Ugly Christmas Sweater is the most creative idea ever. i ordered one with my dogs face for a family gathering everyone cracked up. The only issue is the shipping took a bit longer, around 10 days.
The Wild Bobby Jing a Di Jing sweater from the first Amazon page is hands-down the funniest one ive seen. i wore it for our offices “Ugly Sweater Day,” and even the boss couldnt stop laughing . Totally worth it if you want something quirky.
if youre buying for a party with friends, the Artsadd Face Print Hoodie wins! We made matching ones with each others faces it was chaotic in the best way. Only complaint: colors fade slightly after a few washes.
Nordstrom Rack. Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn are full of affordable clothing stores where you might find something. Each borough even has a downtown area where you’ll find these types of stores. You can also sew your own ugly sweater from a plain, expensive sweater. Add Christmas decorations.
Burlington Coat Factory, try the one downtown, where security guards with guns protect the $7 T-shirts. Cheap, shoddy, ugly, and potentially deadly, but still festive. Seriously, try Nordstrom’s Rack or Bloomingdale’s Outlet on the Upper West Side; they have more unique stuff.
Between all of these, i think the Pink Queen Long Sleeve Pullover is the best value. it feels like a real knitted jumper, not one of those cheap polyester ones. Perfect for cozy indoor wear.
Macy’s probably has them, Target too… and Spencer’s Gifts too. Walmart ships pretty quickly. Thrift stores usually have them all in one place this time of year.
i was at Target last week and their holiday section is already wild this year. they had a whole rack of those loud ugly sweaters. Prices weren’t bad either so might be worth checking if you’re nearby.
