how to decorate a country xmas tree

What’s your Christmas tree theme this year? I usually decorate more in the fall, but Christmas has been a real challenge for me these past few years. My Grinch stole Christmas and the evil elves can’t take it anymore, but I think I want to do something really sweet and glamorous. I’m open to other people’s ideas about what they’ve already done or what they’ll decorate in the future.

An English country cottage with soft blue, silver, and white mercury crystals and long blue velvet ribbons. I live in Florida, so we don’t get autumn there, haha. On Halloween, I hand out candy, pack away my one fake pumpkin, and start decorating for Christmas the next day. I love looking at the trees on this forum.

We’re making one with vintage ornaments, lots of glitter garlands, etc., and another with family ornaments, including popcorn garlands and the like. I’m thinking about another one made entirely of felt ornaments, since I have a ton.

I’d never liked themed Christmas trees until we built our extension. After carefully searching for the large central chandelier and other furnishings, it suddenly seemed like they would match our extension tree. So we opted for a simple vintage copper theme and even used wrapping paper in similar hues for the gifts under the tree.

Several vintage LOL toys, of course. In my office: mice and Christmas trains.

I don’t know if I’ll change the subject. I’m finishing a renovation. My tree is still decorated. It has a black, white, and red checkerboard pattern. I can’t remember the brand that makes the harlequin style or the black, white, and red checkerboard, like McKenzie Childs. The ornament is a large hat. There are people on Etsy who make beautiful hat ornaments. Research the seller so it’s not dropshipping junk. I’d love to add some vintage glass ornaments.

Birds and eggs

I have six trees, each with a different theme. 1. The large tree, 8 feet tall, has fairy lights and a variety of ornaments, both classic and whimsical; the 5 foot living room tree has fairy lights, woodland animals, nature-themed animals, felt, knit, glass and wood, and hookless fishing lures. My bedroom tree, 28 feet tall, and my current favorite, has white string lights and antique glass and vintage mercury glass ornaments. The library loft tree, 5 feet tall, has white lights and small glass ball ornaments. The guest room tree, 18 feet tall, has white lights and cookie cutters; the kitchen tree, 6 feet tall, has a Dollar Tree on the porch, white lights, and red, gold, and green shatterproof ornaments.

With so many trees, I should start decorating in May. It’s a lot of work, but it looks beautiful.
