The other day, while looking for a Christmas tree, I bought an impulse buy and brought home a white one. At the store, it had a snowman on it, and I thought it was so cute. But now, sitting here, wondering how to decorate it, I don’t know what to do. I’m terrible at maintaining a consistent style when decorating, and I buy what I like, even if it doesn’t match. In the end, I didn’t buy the snowman because I had a few moments of clarity in the store and decided to look for inspiration online before making any more rushed purchases. So I ask you, dear Christmas decorators: How should I decorate this tree? I’m a bit stuck with the idea of black ornaments, maybe black ribbon, maybe a color other than black and gold, maybe another bold color instead of black that creates a nice contrast. The tree is already lit, so I can put colored lights or white ones. I don’t know, I don’t know what to do.
You can choose silver blue or gold red, but in my opinion a white tree means you have to define a color palette to achieve maximum impact.
How about using only silver and gold, no paint, just metallic colors? I think black decorations would look very bold, but also very austere. I guess it depends on how bold you want to be.
Perhaps something that matches the decor but adds a touch of elegance with a different color, like silver. Silver and white trim.
