how to make large outdoor christmas ball ornaments

Hi everyone, I’d like to make 810 baubles, maybe not this year. Large baubles to hang on our solid oak tree at Christmas. I’m going to paint them to look like Christmas ornaments. My first thought was paper mache, based on childhood memories of making balloon piñatas every Easter. I was thinking 36 round balloons, beach balls, etc. I read that 3.8 liters of Flex Seal liquid makes a good outer layer to paint. Does that seem reasonable? Other considerations: Storage might be an issue, but I have areas where I can hang them out of season. Also, I would paint them every year to keep them looking new. Thanks.

Flexible papier-mâché joints; any recipe works well. Dollars aren’t indestructible, but they should at least last a few vacations regardless of the weather. I recommend buying spherical balls; they look better than beach balls with visible panels and edges. Yoga balls are even better, but considerably more expensive.

Maybe you could buy some of those yoga balls to use as molds. They seem to be more spherical, and you can blow them up. Good luck!
