I recently bought this gorgeous headband with red flowers and red velvet on tiny antlers. Part of me wants to wear it in public, but another part worries it might look too overdone or weird. I don’t know if it’s elfcore, fairycore, goblincore, or something else. I couldn’t find an elfcore fprum but I did find a post asking how to wear elf ears in public.
Do antlers make you happy? Then wear them. Others might think you’re weird, and they’re right 
, but that’s okay. It’s only a problem if you interpret their opinion as embarrassment or anger at others.

I’d love to see someone with antlers. Everyone here dresses so boringly; I’m usually the odd one out.
If they make you happy and don’t bother you at the door, wear them. I recently bought a beautiful fur collar that’s stunning and looks like something a Viking or barbarian would wear. I wear it in public, despite the strange looks it sometimes attracts. If it makes you happy and you can ignore the strange looks, embrace what makes you feel unique and happy.

My current thought process is that we’re in the middle of a pandemic and we might as well dress however we want, as if it’s our last chance.
I hope more people get their act together. I’ve started fooling around. Men are sometimes weird, but women and children usually react positively. Try it in a low-risk setting, like a meal with a friend.

I once saw a woman walking through a supermarket dressed as a fairy, with a long, flowing dress and chiffon wings. As I listened to the other customers’ conversations, I noticed everyone openly praising her and wishing her the confidence to be whoever she wanted. Do what you want.

People will stare at you, and you can either accept it or fear it, but it’s going to pass. I have a deer antler headband that I wear to full moon bonfires and sometimes to pagan festivals. I wouldn’t wear it just to go shopping or anything like that.
It’s great, if you want to wear it, do it. Advice from the person who just walked around the neighborhood wearing a hooded medieval cloak.
