What to get an IT guy for Christmas

I need help figuring out what to get my friend who works in IT for Christmas. He is the guy who fixes everything from my Wi-Fi to my printer and never complains. He is into gadgets, coffee, and sarcastic memes. I do not want to get him another mug or generic tech gift. I want something clever or useful that he will actually appreciate. Bonus points if it makes him laugh or helps him survive another day of debugging. Any ideas from fellow tech folks or people who have gifted IT pros before? :desktop_computer:

I gave my IT friend a cable organizer shaped like a robot and he loved it. It kept his desk tidy and looked cool. He said it was the first time someone gave him a gift that was both geeky and practical.

You could go with a funny T-shirt that says something like ‘Did you try turning it off and on again’. I gave one to my coworker and he wears it on casual Fridays. It is a classic IT joke and always gets a chuckle.

That T-shirt idea is gold. He says that line daily!

A portable SSD or encrypted USB drive could be useful. I gave one to my friend and he said it saved him during client visits. It is sleek and shows you understand his tech life.

If he drinks coffee maybe a smart mug that keeps it warm would be appreciated. I gave one to my brother and he said it was a game changer during long coding sessions.

I once gave an IT guy a stress ball shaped like a blue screen error. He laughed for five minutes straight. It is silly but shows you get the struggle.

Blue screen stress ball? That is hilarious. I am getting that.

You could also go with a mechanical keyboard cleaning kit. I gave one to my friend and he said it was oddly satisfying. IT folks love their keyboards and keeping them clean is a hidden joy.

A mini desktop fan with USB power could be nice. My friend uses his during long hours at the desk. It is simple but thoughtful.

If he likes sarcasm maybe a desk sign that says ‘I am silently judging your browser tabs’ would be funny. I gave one and it became the centerpiece of his workspace.

Judging browser tabs sign? That is perfect for him.

You could also go with a tech-themed puzzle or brain teaser. I gave one shaped like a circuit board and it kept my friend busy for hours.

A subscription to a coding magazine or tech newsletter could be cool. My friend said it helped him stay updated and gave him new ideas for projects.
