We’ve always had a fairy, but I’ve definitely heard of an angel on their tree, and I know stars are popular too. What do you have? What did you have as a child?
I have an ornament of our dog, whom we lost in 2021, so technically it’s an angel and a star.

A Barbie doll dressed as an angel when we were little. My parents now have a star. I have a Dalek.
I remember having an angel as a child. A year later, my mom replaced the old ornaments, and ever since then, we’ve had a star. As adults, my partner and I have a star. I’ve never heard of anyone decorating their Christmas tree with a fairy.

As a child, we had a magical little angel made out of a paper cone. Since I’ve had a home and can decorate my own tree, I’ve had a moon to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas: the winter solstice.
I always look for the stars. When the first Christmas trees appeared in the 17th century, traditional decorations apparently consisted of the Baby Jesus, gingerbread, and golden apples.

Mrs. tmstms and I were only allowed one tree as children. When we moved to a house with enough space for a real tree, we bought one for $15 at Asda, which was still alive ten years later in a much larger pot. We used to decorate it with an animal.

I bought a star on Amazon. It lights up and projects little stars onto the ceiling. The inside rotates, so the little stars move across the ceiling. My mom says it’s perfectly normal, and like most of the things she describes, I love it.
