why are balsam hill trees so expensive

Are Balsam Hill trees worth it They’re on sale, and we’re wondering if we should buy the trees of our dreams Do you have any ideas Do you have experience

Customer service isn’t very good If your tree is in good condition, there’s no problem But if there’s a problem, you’ll have to deal with it yourself

I bought one this year based on reviews and photos In the end, I opted for a highend model The only potential issues seem to be the lights, but that doesn’t worry me as long as the tree is sturdy We’ll see how it holds up I’m curious to hear what others think

I was impressed with their customer service I had a tree under warranty that wasn’t working properly They replaced it free of charge and suggested I donate the original tree No tree is perfect, but they are of very high quality The National Tree Company would have been a little cheaper and of better quality It’s still very good, but less realistic

Don’t buy a tree from Balsam Hill I’ve bought two, and even with great care, the plastic electrical connectors on the base break easily A design flaw that has persisted for years Customer service refuses to help, doesn’t sell replacement parts, and refuses to replace the tree or any of its parts after the threeyear warranty expires Too expensive to risk It’s a real shame, because they are beautiful

I highly recommend choosing the unlit version when purchasing a BH tree We have three lit ones One broke several times during the warranty period I still haven’t had it replaced or repaired Their customer service is truly terrible As mentioned, they always have an excuse I received a replacement, but they sent me the wrong part for a different tree When I called again, they suddenly had no proof of my warranty claim I called again the following year, and they had a receipt, but since the warranty had expired, they didn’t send me a proper replacement I won’t buy from them again I’m loyal to the brand, but you have to treat your customers with care And BH doesn’t do that at all

Balsam Hill trees are absolute garbage For starters, even the most realistic trees look nothing like the photos in the description The color is completely artificial, and the needles are cheap, embossed plastic What they send you is the cheapest Chinese junk they can produce They don’t even have the cheapest one at 649 We’re warning you, don’t waste your time Our trees are returned Monday morning

I’m in the market for one at a fraction of the asking price I just want a tree that won’t hurt my face when I set it up Haha

We ordered an unlit Christmas tree, as lights are usually the first to break We ordered string lights for the mantel, and they lasted for a while We used them for about four weeks in 2023, and by Christmas 2024, they stopped working Customer service offered us 10 off a future purchase, and that was it I won’t be buying from them again

The tree is in good condition Customer service is terrible it arrived broken

We’ve had a highquality, prelit, 9foot Balsam Hill tree for about five years now, and I highly recommend against buying a BH tree, especially one with lights The lights went out the first year, and now they’re probably 90 out I’ve tried several times to troubleshoot the problem with YouTube video tutorials, but to no avail I thought BH’s lights would be better quality given the high price of the tree, but they’re not And BH’s customer service is absolutely no help with the lights If they go out on you, you’re on your own So we purchased and installed the lights for our tree ourselves The tree itself is fine, but the price is way too high for what it offers Again, I will never consider a discounted Balsam Hill tree again

I just realized that the durability and customer service of Balsam Hill trees are absolutely nothing compared to their price I purchased a Douglas fir looks like a discontinued model otherwise, I would have tried leaving a review on their website with clear LED lights in December 2020 It’s been running for four years, just past the warranty expiration date We discovered half of our lights aren’t working this year Everything is wired correctly, we’ve tried replacing individual pieces, etc, but the lights are now broken I mentioned this in my email to customer service and received a rambling response advising me to try the solutions they’d already tried I store this tree very carefully it’s never been mistreated I spent 741 on this tree It’s beautiful, except for the lights, but that’s no reason to settle You shouldn’t buy a prelit tree for several hundred dollars and then have to put the lights on it yourself My family had the same cheap artificial tree for several years, and the lights were never a problem We simply switched because we wanted something bigger Next time, we’ll choose a more affordable tree And although Balsam Hill already has my money for my tree, I won’t be trading our poorly lit tree for a Balsam Hill one when I refurbish it Nor will I be buying more ornaments like I used to Yes, out of spite

Don’t buy it I bought the best tree of fall 2021 for over 1,700 It’s not worth it It has holes all over it and cheap filler in the center The tree won’t hold its shape It’s literally the worst purchase of my life The top is broken Oddly enough, the lights work I have an older, prelit tree for 299 at Home Depot as a second tree that looks much better

Trees last one or two years I think we’ve had ours for four or five years we paid hundreds of dollars for it The artificial needles fall off like a real, dry tree, and the lights are giving us problems Plus, BH no longer supplies us with the lights we need I’m fed up

We spent 1,000 There are still pieces that break So no

We just received our Balsam Hill Christmas tree It’s a classic 5’6" tree in excellent condition It’s supposed to look natural and lush, but sadly, you can see through it the advertising is misleading And to top it all off, you have to pay to return the inferior product Don’t believe their scams they sell Walmartquality trees “Made in USA” at exorbitant prices Furthermore, customer service for returning defective trees is completely nonexistent
